NTPC Talaipalli Coal Mine Project organised a two-day training programme, on December 19 and 20, centred around the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) at Workplace Act 2013. The session, “POSH and Gender Sensitisation,” was led by eminent trainers, Shri Ajay Agarwal and Smt Richa Agarwal, who educated NTPC employees of the nitty-gritties of the act in a well-structured manner.

The training programme on the PoSH Act 2013, mandating sexual harassment policies, prevention systems, and service rules for its employees, included the introduction and the implications of the law. The session also inculcated the journey of how PoSh germinated and became a concrete law in 2013.

Shri and Smt Agarwal aided the entire training programme with interactive sessions, questionnaires, open discussions, and videos that conveyed the information on PoSH Act-2013, very efficiently. The programme saw an overwhelming response from NTPC employees who were elated to be enlightened about the PoSh Act. The session culminated with the Business Unit Head, Mr Somes Bandyopadhyay, felicitating the trainers with the traditional ‘Uttariya.’
